こいつすげーと生まれて初めて思ったのは、確か厨房のとき。
塾の後にゲーセン行った帰りに、高校生３、４人にに絡まれたんだ。
金髪のやつがすごんでくる。すげー怖かった。
「な、全部とはいわねーからよ、財布みせろよ」とかいっちゃってる。
後ろの奴は「おいたかし、いじめんなよ」みたいににやにやしてる。
俺は速攻で財布を出したんだが、Ｍは違った。

「あんた、たかしっていうの？」
Ｍは突然言った。
金髪は「あ？　それがおめーと何の関係があんだよ」とかいって突然切れる。沸点低い。
Ｍは首根っこつかまれながら、なんと突然涙を流し始めたんだ。
「あんた、俺の死んだ兄ちゃんと同じ名前だ」とか言って。

そしたら金髪のたかしも、ほかのにーちゃんも明らかに動揺しはじめた。
俺も動揺していた。
Ｍにも俺にもねーちゃんしか居ないはずなのに、死んだにいちゃんがいただと？

Ｍはつらつら涙を流しながら続けた。
「お金はあげるよ。でも、もうほかの人に、こんなことしないでよ、お兄ちゃん」
嗚咽混じりに言うものだから、俺は不良に絡まれてることも忘れて、Ｍをみてた。
金髪はＭから手を離し、すまん、といってそのままどっかに行ってしまった。
俺は何をいっていいかわからず立ちつくしていた。
Ｍはそんな俺をみて、言った。

「ああ、俺にーちゃんいないよ」
